Prescription Notification Service

An OPHelIE TM service

Facilitate communication between pharmacists and physicians

SNO provides a system to support the management of the prescription workflow, eliminating fax messages and saving time in multiple clinical processes.

A focus group made up of physicians and pharmacists was involved in defining clinical needs and designing solutions.

Notifications between systems

Using the concept of tasks based on QHR references and integrating with clinicians’ current systems (EMR, PMS, EHR), it binds local systems together by providing a secure platform for clinicians to communicate asynchronously.

SNO integrates into your existing user interfaces

Healthcare team

Interdisciplinary work

The service promotes interdisciplinary work through a concept of a patient-centered care team. The service adapts to the local organization of work.

Notifications

In real time or deferred, you choose

Tasks are sent as notifications which are processed by local systems and then presented to clinicians when required.

Depending on user preferences and systems architecture, notifications can be displayed in context of patient records and/or in a dashboard.

QHR references

Security, pairing

The service exchanges information only in the form of a reference (e.g. electronic prescription number, unique patient identification number), thus eliminating any risk of disclosure of confidential patient data, since references are non-significant identifiers.

The service provides the local systems with the identifiers making it possible to associate the prescriptions present in the QHR with the prescriptions stored in the local systems.
